Acromioclavicular degeneration

The acromioclavicular (AC) joint is at the distal end of the collar bone. It commonly gets irritated and worn in repetitive overhead or 'press' positions, for instance in throwers, weight lifters or swimmers.

Tender to touch
Audible grating/creaking feeling when moving the shoulder
Swelling over the joint
